Frequently Asked Questions

What is the FTMO drawdown rule?

The FTMO Challenge typically requires a 10% profit target with a 5% maximum daily loss and a 10% maximum total loss. On a $100,000 account that's a $10,000 target, a $5,000 daily limit and a $10,000 total loss limit.

How many losing trades can I take before breaching?

Divide the daily loss limit by your risk per trade for the daily count, and the total loss limit by risk per trade for the overall count. Risking 1% on a 5%/10% account survives 5 losers in a day and 10 overall.

Do these rules apply to FundedNext, FundingPips and Topstep?

Rules vary by firm and plan. The presets here are editable starting points — always confirm the exact figures on your firm's dashboard.
